ROSEBERRY, Idaho -- The historic Roseberry General Store will soon be under new ownership.

Frank Eld, the store's owner since 1969, plans to retire.

He has agreed to sell the general store to Valley County for $68,000.

The money is coming from the Nasi Sisters Fund, which was established after the sisters passed away and left their ranch to the county.

Eld says the Long Valley Preservation Society will operate it as part of a museum.

He adds that the $68,000 purchase price does not include anything inside the store.

If nobody pays to preserve the inventory, Eld plans to sell it for a lump sum of $35,000.

Eld says his next project is preserving the Jones House now located on the corner of 5th and Myrtle streets in downtown Boise. He plans to move it north to a site on Reserve Street.
