BOISE -- Nearly 1,000 people took to Julia Davis Park Saturday to help raise funds for two very special Treasure Valley kids.

"Boise's Got Faith," now in its sixth year, donated 100 percent of the proceeds, over $53,000, to two local kids battling cancer.

Five-year-old Ryan Crawford from Kuna is battling pediatric brain cancer while four-year-old Lily King from Emmett is currently undergoing treatment for Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.

Race Director Ryan Stearns said their goal was to not only raise money, but to bring families and the community together.

"Our goal in putting on this event is to bring Ryan and Lily - and so many others like them - hope, light and laughter, encouraging them to remember the joy of being a kid again."

Since 2012, Boise's Got Faith has raised over $250,000 to benefit local children battling cancer.
