Treasure Valley 'Stars' will dance to raise money for American Cancer Society

Local celebrities will compete May 15 at the Egyptian Theatre in Boise.

Hollywood glamour is coming again to the City of Trees as local celebrities get ready for a night of dancing to benefit a good cause.

Treasure Valley Dancing With the Stars is coming up Wednesday, May 15, at Boise's Egyptian Theatre, with all the money raised going to the American Cancer Society.

Celebrity dancers from Treasure Valley businesses, hospitals, media organizations and sports, along with their dance partners, will compete during a night of dancing and fun. 

Joel Hunter, the dance coordinator for the event, has also been one of the dancers for the past two years. He stopped by the KTVB studio on Friday to tell us more about the event.

Here are 2019's "Stars":

Jim Thomas, head coach of the Boise State women's soccer team; 

Tyson Jones, Ada County Sheriff's Office deputy

Laura Mason, local actress 

Casey Dawn of the Shred, National Roller Derby MVP 

Ariel Frantz, Timberline High School varsity softball coach 

Clay Lee, recreation coordinator at Boise Parks and Recreation Department 

Joey and Lauren Jenkins, radio hosts at 102.7 

Alisha Donahue, local comedian; 

Matt Bragg, local comedian
