BOISE, Idaho — EllieMae Millenkamp will be getting some pointers from country music superstar Blake Shelton, as she competes on "The Voice" this season.

Millenkamp's performance in the blind auditions aired on Monday. The 21-year-old, who grew up on a farm in Jerome, performed "Merry Go 'Round" by Grammy Award-winner Kacey Musgraves.

Midway through her song, Shelton hit his buzzer. Because he was the only judge to turn around during the performance, he will be Millenkamp's coach as she competes for the show's top prize - $100,000 and a record deal.

As tears streamed down the young singer's face, Shelton welcomed her to Team Blake.

"EllieMae snuck in under the radar, but I'm glad I'm the only person who hit the button," Shelton said. "She has the folky kind of sound to her that's kinda having a resurgence right now - with country and Americana - and I think she's gonna be a threat on this show."

You can watch "The Voice" every Monday and Tuesday at 7 p.m. on NBC (KTVB Channel 7).
