BSU holds steady in latest college football polls
Fresh off an impressive road win over Rutgers, Fresno State jumped up to no. 21 in both the coaches and media college football polls. Boise State is ranked 33rd by both the media and coaches.

Steelheads to lower ticket prices
As the Idaho Steelheads continue signing players for the 2008-09 season and make plans to open training camp next month, the team today announced excitement is building amongst fans. The team has lowered prices on many season tickets and renewals for the upcoming season are running ahead of last year's pace.

Hawks eliminated from playoffs
David Paisano hit a two-out three-run home run in the top of the fifth inning, providing the winning runs, as the Spokane Indians clinched the Northwest League's East Division pennant with a 4-1 victory over the Boise Hawks, before 3,776 fans at Memorial Stadium.

Former Stampede star signs with Blazers
Former Idaho Stampede standout Luke Jackson is back in the NBA. The Portland Trail Blazers signed the Oregon native Wednesday. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.

WAC football season preview
The 2008 WAC season is just days away. Boise State will open up Saturday vs Idaho State. Fresno State kicks off on Monday at Rutgers. Both teams will be jockeying for a league title...find out more about the WAC right here with a season preview.

BSU Volleyball to open season this weekend
Boise State volleyball will kick off the 2008 season by hosting the Boise State Bronco Invitational on Friday, Aug. 29 and Saturday, Aug. 30 at Bronco Gym.

At this afternoon's weekly press conference Boise State head football coach Chris Petersen announced junior quarterback Nick Lomax is leaving the team.
Franklin and McGowen suspended for opener
Boise State head coach Chris Petersen announced Monday that receiver Toshi Franklin and defensive back Keith McGowen will not play in the season opener vs Idaho State.

BSU sweeps weekly WAC soccer awards
Boise State swept the Western Athletic Conference Players of the Week honors as forward junior forward Andrea Huerta and junior goalkeeper Jennifer Burns became the first Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, respectively for the 2008 season.

Vandals complete final scrimmage
The final scrimmage is in the books and the University of Idaho football team got its last bit of live action before an Aug. 30 date with Arizona in Tucson. The result of Tuesday’s scrimmage – call it a draw.

Former BSU star to play pro hoops in Cyprus
Reggie Larry won't play in the NBA this season, but he's found himself a pretty nice consolation overseas. KTVB Sports talked to the former Boise State star basketball player Thursday and he said he's signed a professional contract with AEL Limassol in Cyprus.

Amateurs rule Carter Cup
The 2008 Carter Cup concluded today at Blue Lakes CC in Twin Falls, ID as the IGA Amateur team defeated the Rocky Mountain Section PGA team by a significant margin, 36-24 in a Ryder Cup style format event.

Hawks rout Spokane, close gap to 5 games
First-round draft pick Andrew Cashner pitched four hitless innings and the Boise Hawks scored double-digit runs on Spokane for a second-straight night, stopping the Indians, 12-4, before 3,112 fans at Memorial Stadium.

Receivers, Enderle shine in first scrimmage
There just may have been some questions answered Tuesday about the Idaho Vandals’ receiving corps. After a fall camp of looking long and hard for some go-to guys, sophomore quarterback found a sure-handed selection in throwing for 277 yards off a 16-of-19 effort in Idaho’s first scrimmage of the fall.
