Geraldo Hiwat came to the U.S. from Amsterdam just to play football.
Capital High Senior wide receiver Geraldo Hiwat has given his verbal commitment to play football at Boise State starting in the 2009 season as confirmed by Capital head football coach Todd Simis, Monday night.
The 6-4 senior from the Netherlands has only played 5 games of 11 on 11 football, but was outstanding enough to gain the interest of BSU head coach Chris Petersen and his staff.
In those 5 games, Hiwat has caught 26 balls for 297 yards and 4 touchdowns and he's also rushed the ball once for a score. He's also averaging between 30 and 40 yards on punt and kickoff returns and runs a 4-4 40 meter dash.
Hiwat is no question one of the top recruits in Idaho and likely the Northwest.
