Reggie Larry won't play in the NBA this season, but he's found himself a pretty nice consolation overseas.
KTVB Sports talked to the former Boise State star basketball player Thursday and he said he's signed a professional contract with AEL Limassol in Cyprus.
The Mediterranean island nation is a top tourist attraction.
Larry's contract will pay him 76 thousand dollars the first year. After that, he'll have an NBA option but if he returns to Cyprus, the second year of the deal would be worth 140 thousand dollars.
Larry's Mediterranean adventure begins on August 28th when he travels to Cyprus. He'll spend the next eight months playing basketball for AEL Limassol. In addition to his salary, Larry will also be provided a two bedroom furnished apartment and a car.
Said Larry, "Eight months is a long time...I know I'll be home sick but I'm excited!"
