BOISE -- Drivers in the Treasure Valley and nearby mountains could see a rain-snow mix throughout their late-morning commute on Tuesday.
According to KTVB Meteorologist Larry Gebert, a string of rain and snow showers will arrive sometime after 9 a.m. Tuesday. Gebert says when this happens, drivers at high elevations may experience periods of snow, while those in the valley will likely see small amounts of rain.
On Monday evening, the National Weather Service canceled a winter storm advisory for the Treasure Valley. The original warning called for slick roads and up to an inch of snow. As of 7:30 Tuesday morning, a winter storm advisory was still in effect for eastern Oregon just west of Ontario.
KTVB viewers reported light to moderate snowfall near the Vale area on Tuesday morning.
