BOISE -- Idaho Power says 50,000 customers were without power due to Monday night's severe storm.
By Tuesday morning, the company's Twitter page said it had restored power to 16,000 homes.
The power outages are scattered from Eastern Oregon to McCall to Mountain Home.
Lynette Berriochoa with Idaho Power says the storm caused damage throughout the Treasure Valley and all available crews have been working through the night to get the power restored.
Berriochoa also says Idaho Power was aware that the 24-hour outage line was down. Crews worked overnight to get it back working. She encourages customers to keep trying to get through.
There is no estimated time of when the power will be restored to all area homes.
