NEAR CASCADE -- Highway 55 is open again after flooding, caused by the recent rain, covered the road south of Cascade.
The stretch of the highway in Round Valley was reduced to one lane of traffic, which was being controlled by a pilot car and stop signs. The road reopened at 3 a.m. Saturday.
The flooding began Thursday night. Snowplows were being used Friday to displace water, forcing traffic to stop and wait.
Floodwater is also covering the Farm to Market Road in Roseberry. Photos sent to us by viewers via First Person show that the road is completely covered with water. The historic buildings in the area are also flooded.
