DENVER -- A freight train carrying tanks of ethanol derailed and crashed through a maintenance building in Denver.
Officials say a track switch was being performed when four cars derailed early Tuesday morning. The cars went over the tracks leading into a service building -- then went through the back, knocking other pieces of machinery through along the way.
The cars remained upright and intact and no injuries were reported. The train is operated by burlington north santa fe, which is conducting an investigation into the cause of the incident.
