BOISE -- A three car pile-up on the Broadway Bridge Friday afternoon turned out to be a little more stressful than a typical fender-bender. That's because one of the people involved was a woman going into labor.
The crash happened just after 2 p.m. Friday, in what appeared to be drivers following each other a little too closely.
Three people were involved, including a pregnant woman in the first car, and surprisingly, the other two people in the last pickup said they're traveling nurses.
"I checked on both of them first, because I am a nurse, so I had to make sure that they were both safe and okay. She told me she was in labor, contractions are four minutes apart. So I come running back here and I told my husband, 'She's in labor! They're four minutes apart! We need an ambulance, like pronto! I'm not delivering a baby out here.'" said Kristina Barett.
Barett did not have to help deliver the baby.
The pregnant woman's mother came by and took her to the hospital.
