NAMPA -- Wednesday marked the two-year anniversary of the passing of famous aerobatic pilot Greg Poe.

In memory of him -- and to honor the Ryan J. Poe foundation he started back in 2008 -- two students from the Treasure Valley flew as passengers in an air-show plane courtesy the foundation.

Olivia Lynn and Trevor Tweten were chosen via the foundation's 'Elevate Your Life' essay contest, a contest designed to help inspire kids to follow their dreams.

The foundation is named in honor of Greg Poe's son, whose life was cut short because of drug abuse.
