BOISE – Gas prices continue to climb in Idaho, as fueling up is approaching $4 per gallon territory.

But for about an hour Thursday, some lucky people in Boise got $20 worth of gas for free thanks to a local radio station.

The marquee at On The Fly read zero for a brief time during a KISS FM promotion, as the first 103 cars got some free gas.

As soon as the announcement was made over the airwaves, vehicles began to lining up at the gas station at the corner of State Street and Collister Drive in Boise.

Vehicles snaked through the parking lot, waiting no more than 10 minutes to get the free gas.  It took less than an hour to get all the vehicles through the line.

Boise Police officers were on hand to make sure everything went smoothly.

There were minor traffic problems at the very beginning but that cleared up in no time.

People we spoke with were very gracious for the gift.
