BOISE -- It was "operating room day" at the Discovery Center of Idaho Saturday.
Future nurses and doctors got a chance to see what it would be like to work in an operating room.
Staff members from Saint Luke's Meridian were on hand to help the children and teach them their trade.
The exhibit was such a hit last year that the nurses agreed to hold the event one more time.
"Well, we decided as nurses in the operating room, we saw an idea to bring the public an awareness of what we do in the O.R.,” said event organizer Robert Goetting. “Because a lot of people look at the O.R., look at surgery as some scary place. So we decided to bring the O.R. to the people."
Visitors were encouraged to interact with the exhibit -- no blood was involved.
