BOISE – It was a win-win scenario for those in Boise needing a haircut Sunday.

At Stag Hair Care on West State Street, customers paid just $5 for a haircut if they also brought in three canned goods.

All that food and money is going to a good place: the City Light Home for Women and Children shelter.

“There's really nothing in it for us but the gratification of giving and doing our part for the community,” said Maria Santa Cruz, the owner of Stag Hair Care.

You still have until Wednesday to drop off your canned goods, although the $5 haircuts were just a Sunday event.
