EAGLE, Idaho -- Lana Viehweg was a devoted wife and mother of nine children who lost her battle with cancer back in 2003. The Eagle woman was just 43 years old when she died.

Her husband John recently published a book as a tribute to her, and as a keepsake for their nine children.

It's called "Mom, Interrupted - A Young Family Faces Cancer."

It all started as a series of e-mails about Lana's cancer fight, but as Maggie O'Mara found out - it's now a book that other families facing tough times can gain inspiration from too.

The Viewheg family will donate part of the proceeds of this book to the Komen Foundation to fight cancer.

This May, they will also run the Race for the Cure with their "Mom, Interrupted" team in honor of Lana. The whole family takes part!

If you'd like to register for the Race for Cure, you can do that right now -- registration is open.
