BOISE -- Fuzzy felines frolicking on the Internet took center stage at Boise's Knitting Factory Friday.

The Internet Cat Video Festival is the first celebration of online cat videos we've heard of.

The event featured 85 cat videos spanning 75 minutes, including everything from six-second Vine videos to short kitty films, and everything meow-licious in between.

Interestingly, the world-famous keyboard cat was featured along with Will Braden,  the creator of the "Le Chat Noir," who also hosted the event.

"Since the Internet, there has been a cat video component to it," Braden told KTVB.  "But, I think there was always sort of a stigma attached to it. It wasn't cool to be watching cat videos. Meanwhile, they have got millions and millions of views."

A portion of the proceeds from Friday''s event will be donated to local animal welfare non-profits.
