BOISE -- For the Idaho Stampede, December and November are months to forget.
Just one win and 11 losses. You might say they could use the new year to start fresh.
The most recent came after a hard fought battle Wednesday night.
The Stamps went back and fourth with Maine, and even led late in the game before the Red Claws pulled away a 14 point victory.
So now they have to look ahead to the weekend, when they host division foe Reno. A couple of games that could have a huge implication.
The Stamps may be down, but they aren't out.
The Stampede hosts Reno on Friday and Saturday.
If they can pick up a pair of wins, that would help then shorten the gap in the ECHL West standings. The Stamps currently sit at the bottom. Santa Cruz is in first place.
