LOUISVILLE, Kent. -- Former Boise State golfer Graham DeLaet a shot 3-under 68 in the second round out the PGA Championship at the Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Kentucky, on Friday.

DeLaet, who teed off on the back-9, was 2-under on the day through nine holes. He then double-bogeyed No. 2 before responding with birdies on holes no. 3, 4 and 7.

DeLaet is 5-under overall and tied for 6th place.

Rory McIlroy is the overall leader at 9-under.

This is just the second time in DeLaet's career, and first this season, that he has made the cut at a major championship.

DeLaet has a career-best tying seven top-10 finishes on the PGA Tour this season.

He entered the PGA Championship ranked 30th in the FedEx Cup standings.
