BOISE--The Boise Hawks closed out their regular season on a five-game losing streak Monday night, falling to the Hillsboro Hops, 10-6.Now the Hawks will have to try to start a win streak on Tuesday when they open the Northwest League playoffs at home, hosting the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes.

Hillsboro jumped all over Hawks starting pitcher Michael Wagner, and chased him out of the game in the third inning after allowing four runs.George Roberts hit two home runs and drove in four runs for the Hops.

Hawks third baseman Rony Rodriguez was 2-for-3 at the plate, knocking in three runs in the loss.

The Hawks host Salem-Keizer Tuesday at 6:45 p.m. to open the Northwest League s South Divisional Series.
