BOISE -- A retired Pennsylvania farmer is on remarkable coast to coast journey across the U.S.
He is making the trip in an 1948 John Deer tractor, and it's all to raise funds and awareness for the Wounded Warrior Project.
C. Ivan Stoltzfus made a stop in Marsing on Monday morning.
He started in New Jersey on April 26, by putting the back tires of the tractor into the Atlantic Ocean.
He'll complete his trip on August 9 in Crescent City, California, by putting the front wheels in the Pacific Ocean.
His goal is to raise a million dollars for wounded warriors.
So far he's raised about $81,000, but says its not just about the money.
"But I'm finding out its so much more than that million dollars. I'm meeting veterans and some are driving three hours just to meet me and and talk to me driving back home three hours and thanking me for that hear to heart talk. And I say there's no monetary value in that," said Stoltzfus.
Stoltzfus is also an auctioneer, and has done some benefit auctions along the way.
He's hoping to get some companies or corporations to contribute to the cause.
