COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho -- The Kootenai County Sheriff's Office said the body of a man was found on the shoreline of Lake Coeur d'Alene near the boat dock at North Idaho College around 6 a.m. Saturday.

Authorities said an employee of the college found the man's body as she was coming to clean the restrooms on the beach.

Officers from the Coeur d'Alene Police as well as deputies from the Kootenai County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene.

Sheriff's detectives and the Kootenai County coroner were on the scene processing evidence. Rosenberry Drive was closed until about 10 a.m. Saturday.

At this time officials do not know how long the body had been in the water or how the man died. Authorities say there were no obvious signs of trauma on his body.
