BUHL -- A man wanted by police for opening fire on law enforcement early Tuesday morning has been captured.
Twin Falls County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Lori Stewart says 40-year-old Victor Soria of Buhl was arrested in Utah County, Utah.
Soria is accused of firing a gun at Buhl police officer Benny Torres and a Twin Falls County Sheriff's Deputy who came to his home at about 2:40 a.m.
The officers were responding to a report of a domestic disturbance at 49 Manor Drive in Buhl when shots rang out.
Torres was pierced in the buttocks by some sort of shrapnel or fragment. He was taken by ambulance to St. Luke's Magic Valley Hospital, where he was treated and released.
But Soria, who authorities warned was armed, went on the run. Stewart said he was apprehended when a Utah police officer spotted his car on the interstate.
Stewart says he will be extradited back to Idaho to face charges, but she was unsure how long that process will take.
