BOISE -- The Boise Fire Department posted a couple adorable photos on their Facebook page of a female fawn they say was dropped off at one of their fire stations.

They say a gardener found the baby deer nearby and feared it had been abandoned.

The Facebook post continued on to say, Although firefighters and paramedics at Station 8 enjoyed the little visitor, they knew the best thing to do was call Idaho Fish & Game who sent volunteers from Animals in Distress, a volunteer Idaho Wildlife Rescue group. Volunteers say they will help the little female with the goal of returning her back to her native habitat.

While wildlife officials do not advise taking baby animals out of the wild, we thought these photos were just too cute not to share.
