GARDEN CITY -- The man who stabbed another man in the chest early Saturday morning is still on the loose Sunday night.
Police say they were called to a home on 44th Street just before 12:30 a.m. Saturday. They found a 46-year-old man with a stab wound to the left side of his chest.
The man survived and was released from the hospital over the weekend.
He was able to identify the suspect, who fled the scene after the stabbing.
At this point in time detectives are exhausting those leads, said Sgt. Blair Brannan. The suspect himself is still at large but they are following up on leads and have some potential results.
Police say the two men have a prior history and that there's no danger to the public.
