BOISE -- A 39-year-old felon pleaded guilty to federal weapons charges after prosecutors say they found 14 firearms and thousands of bullets in a search of his home.

Jason Earl Wright of Boise, prohibited from having weapons following a 2006 drug dealing conviction, acknowledged the federal offense in U.S. District Court Thursday.

Wright's crime came to light in June.

That's when he tried to purchase a scope for an AK-47 rifle on Craigslist.

The seller was an Idaho Department of Correction officer, who checked up on Wright's record.

After undercover officers were enlisted, Wright was eventually arrested in his vehicle with 13 rounds of ammunition.

After that, a search of his residence uncovered the additional guns and ammo.

Wright faces 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine at his January sentencing.
