CASTLEFORD -- A wildfire ignited by lightning that burned more than seven square miles near the south-central town of Castleford is now under control.

Fire officials say the blazed started Wednesday about 35 miles southwest of Castleford. Crews managed to contain the fire Saturday.

No structures were damaged, but the fire burned rangeland filled with sagebrush and grass.

It was the third wildfire fought in the Magic Valley last week. Smaller blazes burned northwest of Buhl and near Gooding.
