BOISE -- The man who police believe is connected to a February shooting death in Boise appeared om court at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday.

An Ada County judge set a new court date for 35-year-old Shawn Fisher from Boise. He'll next appear in court on April 17th for a preliminary hearing.

Prosecutors say Fisher has been linked to two of three crime scenes in the deadly shooting, and it all began with a road rage incident.

They say on February 18th Fisher rear ended a stranger on Vista Avenue in a road rage incident, and pulled a gun. They say he also fired a shot, blowing out his own car window.

Fisher was arrested in a South Boise neighborhood later that night. That's where homeowners say he was seen yelling and threatening several people.

The third crime scene is on Franklin Road where the victim, Matthew Mohler-Kearns, was found shot in the head inside his car.

However, police have not linked Fisher to that scene.

Fisher appeared in Ada County court on February 20th on several felony charges, including aggravated battery, aggravated assault, use of a deadly weapon, and kicking a police dog.

Fisher has not been charged in death of Mohler-Kearns.
