BOISE -- One man was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance after crashing his pickup truck into a Boise home Thursday afternoon.

The crash happened near the intersection of Apple Street and East Victory Road just before 4:15 p.m.

Homeowner Fred Bermier says the driver lost control on icy roads, drove through a fence and crashed into his bedroom, knocking out a window and pushing in the wall.

Bermier says he was reading the newspaper in his living room when heard a huge crash. At first he thought a tree had fallen on his house, but soon discovered the crash. He says the driver was moaning and holding his head.

Bermier called 911, and police and firefighters arrived quickly to assist the man. He was transported to a local hospital with unknown injuries.
