BOISE --- Police are looking for who is responsible for two homemade bombs that exploded in a front yard late Monday night.

Boise Police say just before midnight, a citizen called 911 reporting what sounded like two loud pops in a neighborhood east of N. Shamrock and W. Edna Street. That's between Five Mile Road and Cloverdale Road, north of Ustick Road.

The first officer to arrive on scene found pieces of a plastic pop bottle and foil. He began to have trouble breathing after inhaling fumes. As more officers arrived, they asked the neighbors to shut their doors and windows as well as turn off their air conditioning to prevent fumes from getting into their homes.

Police then blocked the road and called in paramedics. The officer that came in contact with the chemicals was transported to the hospital where he was treated and released. No one else was hurt.

The Boise Fire Department's Hazardous Materials team responded and found the pop bottle bombs had been made with cleaning products.

Police ask you to call Crime Stoppers at 343-COPS if you have any information about this case.
