BOISE -- A wind advisory will be in effect from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Treasure Valley.

The National Weather Service issued the advisory as they expect winds to reach about 25 to 40 miles per hour, with gusts up to 50 and 60 miles per hour.

Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for tall vehicles.

Along with the wind, KTVB meteorologist Larry Gebert is predicting temperatures to drop overnight and into Tuesday morning. The strong winds and colder temperatures could bring rain to the valley and snow to the mountains.

Gebert expects temperatures to back up in the 50s and 60s by the end of the week.
