BOISE -- A veritable sea of pink moved across ParkCenter Boulevard Saturday as part of the Race for the Cure.

An estimated 17,000 people participated in the 13th annual Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, an event that raises money for breast cancer prevention, treatment and research.

For many of the participants,the Race for the Cure is also a celebration of courage, hope and determination.
