BOISE -- A Boise woman was injured and transported to the hospital after a single vehicle crash on Interstate 84 in Elmore County Sunday morning.

Idaho State Police say around 8:30 a.m., 53-year-old Karen Hammond was eastbound in a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee pulling a trailer when she lost control of the vehicle near milepost 74, Simco Road.

Both the SUV and trailer overturned and came to rest on their side near the Simco Road on-ramp.

Hammond was transported by ground ambulance to St. Luke's Meridian Medical Center. The extent of her injuries are unknown.

Traffic was down to one lane in the area for around two hours. All lanes of I-84 are open again.

The crash remains under investigation.
