BOISE -- A 62-year-old Boise man was thrown from his motorcycle after veering from an offramp near Interstate 184 early Friday morning.

Troopers with the IdahoState Police say 62-year-old Robert Coy was driving on the Boise Connector when he tried to exit on the Franklin offramp, failed to negotiate a corner, and drove into the oncoming lane of traffic where he was ejected from his motorcycle.

Coy was taken to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise. Police say he wasn't wearing a helmet.

The eastbound onramp to Interstate 184 from Franklin Road was blocked for about 2 hours as police investigated.
