BOISE A Boise restaurant worker who threatened police officers with a butter knife has been jailed for battery of an officer and resisting and obstructing.

Boise Police were dispatched to a restaurant in the 7300 block of West State Street on Saturday afternoon after a customer complained they were battered by Tuc Huynh, an employee.

The victim told police they complained about poor service and Huynh struck the victim in the face. Officers saw physical evidence of a battery, including a bruise on the victim s jaw.

When officers tried to talk with Huynh, she became confrontational, grabbed a butter knife and moved into a fighting stance, verbally challenging officers.

Police were able to persuade Huynh to put down the knife. Even after being handcuffed she continued to resist police, kicking an officer twice in the leg.

The 29-year-old Garden City woman was booked into the Ada County Jail on the two charges, one a felony and the other a misdemeanor.

The restaurant customer did not want to press charges, however the incident remains under investigation.
