BOISE -- A historic home that stood for more than a century in downtown Boise was torn down Monday.

Demolition crews removed the house that was gutted last November in a fire at corner of 4th and Myrtle streets.

The house was one of the few to feature the second empire architectural style, and it was once home to Charles Bassett -- a former territorial lawmaker.
