HAMMETT, Idaho -- The massive shipment of oil field equipment moved 96 miles through Idaho Saturday night and Sunday morning, Idaho transportation officials said.

According to ITD, the 380-foot, 450-ton load traveled from the junction of U.S. 95 and Idaho 55 to just south of Hammett overnight.

The so-called megaload had been stalled near the town of Marsing since Monday, because of the Christmas holiday and fog in the area.

The shipment, which is destined for the tar sands oil region of western Canada, is expected to resume its journey Sunday night, weather permitting.
