BOISE -- All east and westbound lanes of Interstate 84 in eastern Oregon have reopened to traffic.
Earlier today, the Oregon Department of Transportation closed the westbound lanes of I-84 between Ontario (Exit 371) and milepost 221.5 (15 miles east of Pendleton). The eastbound I-84 lanes were closed from seven miles east of Pendleton (milepost 216) to 10 miles west of La Grande (milepost 252).
ODOT says the problem was spun-out trucks and crashes along the Cabbage Hill area east of Pendleton. Sections of the interstate were closed for several hours but have since reopened.
Expect icy and snowy conditions throughout eastern Oregon.
There was a winter weather advisory in effect until 4 p.m. PST. Four to six inches of snow is expected to fall in the Blue Mountains.
