BOISE -- The man accused of escaping from a private company on his way to jail is now in the hospital.
Rodney Seiber has been hospitalized at St. Luke's in Boise, according to hospital spokesman Ken Dey. His condition and what led to his hospitalization have not been released, but we know a judge released Seiber on his own recognizance.
Seiber, who was wanted in connection to a carjacking in Nampa, was arrested in Montana September 25, after eluding authorities for more than a week.
On his way back to Canyon County to face charges, Seiber escaped from a private security firm near the Stage Stop outside Boise. He was captured later that night, and was held in the Ada County Jail until his hospitalization earlier this week.
Seiber was due for a court appearance on escape charges November 27. There's been no word on if that hearing will still happen.
