WASHINGTON, D.C -- The House voted unanimously to provide back pay for federal workers furloughed during the government shutdown.

On Friday, the White House said the President would sign the measure.

Some 800,000 workers have been stuck at home without pay since October first.

That's because Congress failed to pass a budget.

While this bill guarantees retroactive pay, federal workers won't get their paychecks until after the shutdown is over.
