EAGLE -- Friends and family members of a teen killed in a crash last year gathered Sunday evening to raise awareness for teen driving safety and the Buckle up for Bobby campaign.
A benefit concert and silent auction was held at Rembrandt's Coffee House in Eagle. Funds raised will go towards eight $500 scholarships for young drivers.
16 year old Bobby Rogers and a classmate, 17-year old Tiffany Walters, both of Mountain View High School, died in a rollover crash near Table Rock back in September 2012.
Neither were wearing their seat belts.
Now, Bobby's Parents want to make sure other teens are safe behind the wheel.
The risky behaviors that kids take, that we need to be more careful about our driving habits, said Duke Rogers. Take time to do it right.
