BOISE -- Two men are in the hospital after a stabbing that happened near the Idaho Capitol building.

Now detectives are hoping someone who was out for New Year's Eve can help them find who did it.

At about 1:45 a.m. Tuesday, Boise Police received a report about a fight in the area of 6th and Jefferson streets.

When officers arrived two men said they had been injured in a fight with two other men.

One of the victims had what appeared to be serious injuries.

Police say that before the fight the men were in a verbal altercation and a foot chase that started a few blocks away in the area of 8th and Bannock streets.

The two stabbing suspects are described as light-skinned men with average builds. One was wearing a black beanie-style hat and possibly a dark hoodie jacket.

There's no clothing description for the second suspect.

If you think you saw them before or immediately after the incident, Boise Police ask you to contact Crime Stoppers at 343-COPS.
