NAMPA -- The Academic Building on the College of Western Idaho's campus in Nampa will remain closed through tonight.

School officials say an electrical transformer that provides power to the building was hit by a car at about 6:30 a.m. Wednesday.

The college is working with a contractor to repair the damages.

Classes and offices are scheduled to reopen Thursday morning.

All other campus locations, including the Nampa Campus Aspen Classroom Building, are open.

You can find updates on the closure on the CWI website and the CWI Facebook page.
