BOISE -- A Sandpoint man is staying calm after learning he is the latest Idahoan to become a millionaire.
Brian Reed was returning from fishing on Lake Pend Oreille Saturday when he stopped in the Travel America Plaza in Sagle to buy a few Powerball tickets.
I asked for a $5 quick pick, but actually had an extra dollar so I got three, said Reed. The middle pick ended up being the million dollar winner.
The winning ticket matched the first five numbers but not the Powerball for Saturday's draw. I didn't get too excited, I just said 'Cool, I won', said Reed.
Reed plans to invest his winnings in a few business ventures and spend more time with his grandkids.
For selling the winning ticket, Travel America Plaza received a $20,000 bonus from the Idaho Lottery.
