MALHEUR COUNTYY -- U.S Highway 95 between Burns Junction and the Nevada border in Eastern Oregon is closed again Monday night after being opened for a short time.

The Oregon Department of Transportation says they closed the highway again due to a wind change that is creating a dangerous driving condition.

The Long Draw fire burning north of McDermitt, Nevada is about 30,000 acres and growing. Bob Narus with the Bureau of Land Management says they believe it was started by lightning Sunday night around 6 p.m.

Narus says the fire is being fought from the air and the ground. They have also ordered for more resources.

The Oregon Department of Transportation says the wildfire has jumped from the west side of the road to the east side.

Firefighters are worried about the wind and thunderstorms in the area Monday.
