BOISE -- In a somber ceremony at the FallenSoldiers Memorial in Boise Sunday, many gathered to honor the Idaho soldiers who died in the 9/11 attacks and in the War on Terror.

Gov. Otter was in Washington, D.C. at the time and was giving a press conference on First Amendment rights when the plane hit the Pentagon.

So then, immediately, a lot of things happened, just as I'm sure it happened in the classroom where your students were, Otter said as he addressed the crowd at the memorial. It happened in your homes wherever you were at that time of the morning, probably 6:30 or so. Getting ready for your day, a day of peace, a day of love, a day of caring for your family and caring for your fellow citizens. Little did we know at that time that the inspiration that would rise up for the actions that had taken place that day would be sustaining us to this very day.
