SEATTLE -- We're still enjoying some summer sun, but that's not stopping stores from stocking shelves with Christmas decorations.

The Christmas lights and wrapping paper are already on sale at Costco stores. You can pick up ornaments and holiday greeting cards too.

At the Costco in Aurora Village, they began rolling out the holiday items the first week of August. And the merchandise isn't collecting dust, according to manager Bill Ingram.

Suprisingly, they sell the moment they hit the floor, he said. I think people are excited about the change of season.

Costco has brought out the Christmas items as early as July in the past.

Ingram said the idea is to display the new holiday items and get people into that shopping mode as soon as possible.
