LEWISTON, Idaho -- A former agricultural education instructor at a northern Idaho high school has been sentenced to six months in jail followed by seven years of probation for possessing child pornography.
The Lewiston Tribune reports that 28-year-old Tyler M. Mink received the sentence Wednesday in 2nd District Court.
Judge Jeff M. Brudie in March found Mink guilty of 10 felony counts of possessing child pornography. Brudie on Wednesday suspended three-year prison terms for each count.
Mink resigned from Culdesac High School in January 2013 after police obtained a search warrant and found hundreds of files with child pornography.
The Idaho Bureau of Probation and Parole will decide if Mink can possess electronic devices that could access the internet.
