BOISE -- The Ada County coroner says a man found dead in a drainage ditch Saturday night likely took his own life.
An autopsy were performed today on body of 59-year-old James Gregory. The cause of death is knife wound to the neck. No foul play is suspected and the case is being investigated as a suicide.
Gregory's body was found in a drainage ditch about 25 yards south of a parking lot of a west Boise apartment complex Saturday night.
Officers were called to the complex on West Halstead Lane, just off of Five Mile Road, at about 8:15 p.m.
Boise Police Lt. Ted Snyder tells KTVB that a woman noticed a car's door open and when she looked inside, saw blood on the seat. She notified police who found a man's body a short distance away from the car.
The man was already deceased by the time officers found him, Snyder said.
